Just when you thought living in the Youngtown Diocese couldn't be tougher...

...Bishop Benedict C. Franzetta died last Tuesday, at the age of 85. [source: doy.org] He was pulled out of retirement to serve as our Diocesan Administrator following Bishop Tobin's transfer to Rhode Island, and apparently did such a good job that the Vatican forgot that we haven't actually had a bishop for more than a year and a half now.

Pie Jesu Domine, dona eum requiem. Dona eum requiem sempiternam.

(Hopefully) until a bishop is chosen for us, Monsignor Robert Siffrin will serve as Diocesan Administrator.
